Our standard manufactured discs are screen printed, generally in two PMS colours, but CMYK litho print with a white background and even a gloss lacquer are also available. With screen printing the quality can never be as good as litho, so avoid fine detail and limit graphics depth to within 20-80% screen. Remember that different manufacturers have different print requirements, so please always use our specifications.

GENERAL

The 5" disc itself has a maximum diameter of 120mm, and a centre hole of 15mm; the outer diameter for printing is 118mm, and the usual inner diameter is 26mm. (Please note that the disc silvering is different inside 47mm diameter, so unless you use a solid background colour extending inside this diameter there will be a tonal discrepancy on your artwork.) It is actually possible to print right down to an inner diameter of 18mm if you request it. 

On-body printing is usually screen printed using two or three PMS colours (Pantone Coated, never Pantone Process), though beautiful full-colour litho printing on a white base is available for a small additional cost. Please bear in mind that on-body printing can never accurately match that of the paper parts.

Do remember that It is your responsibility to check the content and suitability of the artwork for screen printing. "Content" includes copy, catalogue numbers and titles, bleed, registration marks, colour, etc. 

Remember we charge GBP70ph to correct out of spec artwork.
